New Immigration Bill Grants Protection to Illegal Immigrants in the U.S

A new immigration bill, tabled on December 15th 2009 by Representative Luis V. Gutierrez, Democrat of Illinois, seeks to offer pardon to all illegal immigrants in the U.S for a $500 fine and an English language test. The bill, if passed, could have far-reaching consequences on the demographics and politics of America, nay the whole world.

The bill has been pushed by Gutierrez, who is an ardent Democrat and a strong Latino aide of Obama. It remains to be seen as to how the bill goes down with the common man on the streets because if the bill does ever become law, there will be a sudden spurt in the number of people who can legally compete for a job and in these times of joblessness, many people consider the thought a very uncomfortable one.
