Kaplan, the educational and career services provider, and the University of Liverpool have announced an agreement that will establish an international college which will prepare students from around the world to take up places at the University of Liverpool. Liverpool International College, which will be run by Kaplan International Colleges in close collaboration with the University, will prepare international students for entry to the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, giving the students a chance to study in the city before entering the University of Liverpool.

With the first intake of students set to arrive in September 2007, Liverpool International College will provide a full range of programmes designed to prepare students for entry to undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across a wide range of subjects including engineering, management, science and social sciences. The college will be located on the campus of the University of Liverpool which boasts eight Nobel Laureates.

University of Liverpool Vice-Chancellor, Professor Drummond Bone, said: “The University of Liverpool has an excellent reputation for research and teaching around the world and is a popular choice for international students.
